Chichen Itza Mayan Ruins

Cancun, Mexico

Location and Information

We took a tour bus out of Cancun to see Ek Balam and Chichen Itza ruin sites. The drive was long but worth every penny. This site was huge and very crowded. Unfortunately we weren’t able to stay very long to see all the structures, maybe 2 hours. If you didn’t get back to the bus in the correct amount of time they would leave you behind.

History:
Chichen Itza was one of the largest Maya cities, with the relatively densely clustered architecture of the site core covering an area of at least 1.9 sq mi.
